Customer Review: Great buy
I bought this hard drive for my Mid 2006 Intel iMac so I could use Time Machine and it works beautifully. There’s supposed to be an indicator system to show you how much of the drive is used with the rings around the power button, but I can’t seem to get that to work right. It does what I need it to do and it frees up an USB port for things like my iPod Touch, digital camera, and printer.
My only real complaint is a slight buzzing that the drive makes occasionally. It’s really faint, but once I put the drive on it’s side, it quieted right up. Overall, a great purchase.
Customer Review: Hard Drive Failure less than 12 months
Purchased as a back up for my MacBook Pro. Reformatting the hard drive was required to use with the Mac. The process was time consuming but painless and was able to connect (wireless) the drive via the Airport Extreme.
Within 10 months of the purchase, the hard drive failed. The data was recovered after paying a data recovering company $400.

First do yourself a favor, look around, you can find a much better price on this drive on different web sites. Second this drive rocks. It will make everything you do on your computer faster. Games/Programs run much faster. If you can get two and RAID-0 them, making them 2x as fast, if you dont know how, it’s not hard to find/hire someone who can set it up. Also when u get the drive/s do a fresh windows install, it goes faster than with your older drive (exspeacially if u have 2 in RAID-0) and will run smoother then if u just transfer your windows files to this drive. If you dont want to loose data unplug your old drive, install windows on this, then plug in both drives and select to boot win on the raptor, transfer your pics/documents and whatever and your gold!
