Customer Review: GREAT PRODUCT
I purchased this drive about 8 months ago to use as a back up for my files. I have been able to store all of my personal videos, and pictures as well as important files I have on my computers at home. If you have anything of value, you should definitely invest in a back up hard drive. Trust me, I learned the hard way. These drives are very simple to use and worth every penny for the peace of mind you will get.

Review of the drive itself.
I was not familiar with Axiom products until my cousin told me to purchase this one. He has them at his work and highly recommended it. The case is much smaller than I expected and quite sleek looking. I usually leave mine plugged in on its side behind my next to my monitor. It comes with some software and is packaged securely. There is a usb port and two firewire ports on the back of the drive. There is also a blue light that turns on when the drive is in use.

Like I said, it has been 8 mos and I have not had a single problem with the drive. I would highly recommend this and give this 5 stars. Buy Here

Absolute garbage. I’ve had two out of three of these go bad. WD makes some of the worst drives I’ve ever seen. Don’t go anywhere near these. Garbage.

This drive worked great as long as it worked — and then suddenly it stopped working. None of the troubleshooting or support on the manufacturer’s site helped — and I cannot get this replaced since Western Digital India does not stock this product. I bought this on a visit to the US. Buy Here

When this product came out I snagged it up, and I couldn’t have imaged enjoying something like this so much. To be quaint I couldn’t have asked for more…But then they came out with more (320GB), and now I own the 320GB too. Great buy.

Perfect BIG moble removeable! From home to Work, School, Anywhere, never a problem, been perfect for months now. Love it. Short cord’s OK for me, less to tangle, Speed’s very acceptable for USB and actualy quite quick. Might not like an unpowered multiport with multiple devices plugged in, but always OK by itself a single port. Like it so much am gettin a RED one! I have used a couple of these Portable HDDs in the past and everyone of them are still in great shape, and serve their purpose very well. Another nice point to bring up is they do not require a power cable, they are powered by the USB connection.

Customer Review: Systematic Problems with Power & USB connectivity. eSATA slow
I bought this for the low price, USB and eSATA, and mac compatibility. One major problem is that the power plug is VERY unreliable (flickers in and out with just touching the drive)–I had this problem with two of these drives (I returned the first, hoping it was an isolated problem). Also, I was never able to get the USB connection to work on two macs, or the intel mac running Windows Vista natively (I tried both NTFS and Mac formatting). The eSATA works, but the transfer rates were capped at around USB 2.0 rates, so no benefit there either. I’m returning the second unit. Buy Here
